Asset Protection Agent

Our Asset Protection Agents assure compliance of company policies and procedures, safeguard company assets, and advance company mission and objectives as directed by retail management. They protect Retail Services' assets in support of financial goals and they support loss prevention training initiatives to enhance employee and customer satisfaction.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
Take an active role in identifying loss and take appropriate action to deter such loss.
Serve as support to management in dealing with aggressive customers or any workplace violence issue.
Conduct Safety inspections and communicate hazards to management.
Able to maintain accurate information and efficient record keeping.
Recover assets and/or make safe apprehensions.
Assist in internal investigations at the direction of the Area Asset Protection Manager.
Audit compliance to store AP Standards (Alarm tests, Employee Shop Policy enforcement, equipment, etc.)
Ability to analyze and solve problems on an external basis.
Other duties as assigned.
RequirementsREQUIREMENTS:
1. Two years of college education or experience equivalency.
2. Valid driver's license required.
3. Loss prevention experience preferred.
4. Work varied schedule and flexible hours.
PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS:
Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 20 pounds. Moves about to accomplish tasks. Worker is subject to weather conditions (hot, humid, dry, cold etc.). Worker is subject to hazards: proximity to dangerous machinery, moving vehicles, electrical currents, chemicals, or high places. Repetitive use of hands for conducting inspections, assessing security and safety of products, buildings and equipment and computer use, vision Required for assessing sites security and safety and computer work, extensive travel required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
