Senior Financial Analyst

Job SummaryReporting directly to the Commercial Controller, the Senior Financial Analyst (Commercial) is responsible for providing data mining and analysis supporting commercial finance activities and assessment, monitoring, and improvement of the company's gross margin.
Additional responsibilities include planning, developing, implementing, and supporting the commercial team's activities and being a strategic business partner with the commercial leadership team.
The position will work closely with the Commercial Controller and Commercial team to provide financial and strategic analytics.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Providing financial support to the commercial organization which includes monthly reporting of revenues and order entry, and analyzing departmental expenses.
Compile and analyze order entry, sales, and margins by product line; track trends and product mix across products, geographies, and markets and recommend changes that will help improve the company's margins.
Providing financial support and generating timely month-end and quarterly reports to the global sales organization.
Coordinating forecasting, budgeting, and long-range financial planning activities.
Identifying and evaluating business drivers, KPIs, and trends.
Developing and enhancing financial models and planning processes to drive effective data analytics and improve decision-making.
Identifying and mitigating business risks and organization blind spots to curb inefficiencies.
Working with the Corporate Controllership (FP&A) to establish annual market-driven targets.
Assisting with automation and process improvement projects as needed This position also requires the following ability to:

Thoroughly understand finance & accounting concepts, with a general understanding of GAAP.

To select this job as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have the following:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
Five years plus of progressive work experience in a financial, business, or commercial analyst role, preferably in a manufacturing environment Proficiency with the Microsoft 365 Business Suite (i.
e.
, Excel, Word, Outlook) Proficiency with Oracle ERP, Oracle EPM Cloud, and/or ability to quickly learn the accounting software used by the organization Advanced excel, presentation, and computer skills Experience with a mix of accounting, FP&A, and business systems analysis experience supporting financial environments, and a good understanding of ERP systems in a manufacturing environment Expertise in business planning processes, budgets, forecasts, bridges, etc.
